My point for this blog is not to go over each and every understand about mobile marketing but to clarify what people really need to know about mobile marketing. Mobile as most of us know that this means cellular phone or now portable device. We can get really technical but that&#8217;s not the point.</p>
<p>Marketing to me is communicating or communication with intentions which involves influence . So when is comes to mobile marketing it’s about delivering content that users can engage, interact, or take part in some activity. So when you think of mobile marketing don&#8217;t think just advertising or the way traditional marketing would work think about why a person would want to get your information instantly.</p>
<p>Remember this if anything:   Mobile Marketing is about Content Delivery.</p>
<p>It’s about what the end users wants and not what you want to deliver. So really you should focus on giving end users what they want to see…</p>
<p>Take a look at how your mobile marketing efforts apply to this research.</p>
<p>According to Gartner the top ten drivers for mobile usage between now</p>
<p>and 2012 are:</p>
<p>1. Money transfers</p>
<p>2. Location-based services</p>
<p>3. Mobile search</p>
<p>4. Mobile browsing</p>
<p>5. Mobile health monitoring</p>
<p>6. Mobile payments</p>
<p>7. Near-field communications services</p>
<p>8. Mobile advertising</p>
<p>9. Mobile instant messaging (Text Messaging)</p>
<p>10. Mobile music</p>
<p>As you see above many end users want content delivered to their mobile phone and not advertising. So make sure your content is relevant and give an offer or information that pertains to what they may want to receive. Most important your mobile marketing strategy should contain the verticals for each delivery on the mobile via mobile apps, SMS advertising, mobile websites, and QR codes.</p>

<p>With the introduction of the Gaming Act 2005 on 1st September 2007, there are some changes to how promotions can be operated using mobile technology.</p>
